A new Vivo device with model number V2527A has surfaced on Geekbench, and it’s believed to be the upcoming Vivo S50 Pro Mini. The phone is expected to be unveiled in China this month, while rumors suggest it could be coming to the global market as the Vivo X300 FE. The Geekbench listing reveals important details about the device ahead of its official launch.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 7,000 mAh Battery Incoming
Vivo had previously confirmed that the S50 Pro Mini would use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and the Geekbench listing supports this claim thanks to the same CPU clock speeds. The device appears to be running Android 16 with 16GB of RAM. It scored 2778 in the single-core test and 9344 in the multi-core test.
An interesting detail in the metadata of the listing is that the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) identifier is Adreno 829. Qualcomm is marketing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with the Adreno 840 GPU, which is also used in the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The appearance of the Adreno 829 suggests that the standard 8 Gen 5 model uses a slightly modified graphics configuration that won’t reach the same performance levels as the full Adreno 840 implementation in the Elite edition.
Vivo has already outlined the S50 Pro Mini’s key hardware specifications:
- Display: 6.31-inch flat AMOLED display.
- Memory/Storage: LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
- Camera: Features a VCS photosensitive primary sensor, a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel distortion-free selfie camera. The design has removed the traditional camera bump for a cleaner look.
- Battery and Charging: The device is powered by a 6,500mAh battery, 90W wired charging, and 40W wireless charging.
- Additional Hardware: Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor 2.0, IP68 and IP69 water resistance ratings, and X-axis linear motor for enhanced haptic feedback.
